# Launch posts

Detail for the Two registers section of `gt-voice`. A launch post is Kevin's
own writing when he posts it and GT copy when GT's accounts post it; the
register table in the skill decides which. Platform formats (length, a link
in a reply, hashtags at the bottom) belong to the wiki's `social-draft`
skill, and these rules are the GT structures Kevin set on top of it.

## The package

- A launch is drafted as a package: an X thread and a LinkedIn post written
  together, each post naming the media it carries (2026-08-03, 2026-08-04,
  2026-09-03).
- Deliver the drafts as a one-line status, then the numbered posts, each
  naming its attachment. Kevin liked that format.

## X

- For a blog post: a hook post, a reply with pictures, a reply with the
  link, then a reply that points to a related project (2026-09-21).
- For a small demo: one stronger post tied to a conversation already
  running on X (2026-09-24).
- When Kevin calls a release thread "too much", it becomes one post and a
  reply with the link (2026-09-04: "too much just make it a post and then a
  reply with link").
- X shouts out the maintainer of an upstream project (2026-09-03).

## LinkedIn

- LinkedIn credits the people and ideas that inspired the work and explains
  the principles behind it (2026-09-03).

## Open-source posts

An open-source post runs in this order (2026-10-04):

1. the upstream project and its maintainer, credited first;
2. the specific annoyances the change fixes;
3. why open source let Kevin fix them;
4. the link to try it.

## Media and claims

- Every post carries Kevin's own visuals: real recordings and screenshots,
  one image per post, shown with the draft.
- Captions are specific to the content of the image they sit under.
- A claim Kevin said not to mention stays out.
- The copy test and the hard rules of the skill apply to every post.

## After Kevin posts

When Kevin has edited and posted a draft, read the version he posted and
carry its register into the next channel (2026-08-14).
